Navajo handcrafted pendant.It features a cluster design of 15 pear petit point shaped turquoise stones. Mounted on heavy sterling silver it has a nice feel when worn. It comes on a silver 24" rope style chain. This a great example of cluster styled Navajo pendant. The silver has a natrual grey patina that can be polished if requested.
It comes attached to its original red pawn ticket.The term "pawn" refers to jewelry that has been pawned to brokers. The practice of pawning jewelry began in the early 1900s when Native Americans and traders would exchange jewelry for food and other necessities, it is still used today and is embedded in the Navajo culture.
