Unique design large cuff bracelet-C. Willie

Handcrafted bracelet by Navajo artist C.Willie who works with the (HBH) " Heavy by Hand" guild in Albuquerque, New Mexico .For the past 45 years, the Willie Family has been making exquisite traditional silver jewelry. They specialize in bracelets, pendants, rings, buckles and concho belts.  They work with highest grade stones. They reside just west of Albuquerque in To’hajilee.This bracelet features a single rectangular turquoise stone from the Golden Hills mine. It has a wide design showing both triangle and square wire channels making for a heavy bracelet. It is rare to find such a contemporary Navajo crafted piece. 

Stone measurements : 1-1/4" x 5/8"

Inside measurements: 5-1/2 with a 1-3/8" opening * this bracelet will fit a wrist size 6-1/2" to 6-3/4"

Stone: In the Russian hills of Kazakhstan sits the GOLDEN HILLS mine. The Turquoise is only mined in the winter months during the freezing cold and snow as rains flood the mine during the summer. The location of the mine is remote and difficult to bring equipment in and out of. It is the only Turquoise known to have the unique coloring of bright blue with a Lavender undertone.
