Pawn Jewelry- Navajo cluster black onyx ring

Navajo handcrafted ring set in solid sterling silver with genuine black onyx stones. The ring features the black onynx stones in a cluster design of 9 stones with silver flowers on the edge. Also notice the uniquely stamped ring shank ! This is a medium sized ring that makes quite a statement on any finger. Light weight and easy to wear.  

 It comes attached to its original red pawn ticket.The term "pawn" refers to jewelry that has been pawned to brokers. The practice of pawning jewelry began in the early 1900s when Native Americans and traders would exchange jewelry for food and other necessities, it is still used today and is embedded in the Navajo culture.
