Curved Multi-colored post earrings

NAVAJO HANDCRAFTED POST EARRINGS WITH MULTI COLORED STONES & SHELLS

Uniquely shaped in a curve, these earrings lay perfectly when worn. Navajo handcrafted and set in solid sterling silver. Genuine turquoise, lapis, coral and orange spiny oyster shell. Measuring 1" 1/8 in total length. The individual shaped stones and shells measure from top to bottom; 1/8", 1/4", 3/8" & 1/2" in a curved design. A sterling silver posts & backs are alwasy used. 

Kingman Turquoise : mined in northwestern Arizona was one of the largest turquoise mines in North America. The terms "Kingman" or "high blue" refer to the blue color usually displayed in this stone. It has become a color standard in the industry. The mine became famous for its rounded, bright blue nuggets with black matrix. 

 Spiny Oyster Shell (orange and reddish colors) Living Spondylus shells are, indeed, very spiny, but the polished product looks very smooth, with some of its color variation strongly resembling that of the Blood Oyster. The resemblance is strong enough that it’s important to ask, when purchasing these materials, if they’re from Blood Oyster or Spiny Oyster. Divers collect Spiny Oyster by hand, making the work laborious and relatively expensive, with some risks 

Lapis Lazuli (DARK BLUE) Mines in northeast Afghanistan continue to be a major source of lapis lazuli. Important amounts are also produced from mines west of Lake Baikal in Russia, and in the Andes mountains in Chile. Smaller quantities are mined in Pakistan, Italy, Mongolia, the United States, and Canada.It is a stone prized for its intense blue color. 

 Red coral (RED COLOR) comes from certain areas, such as the Mediterranean, where the specific water temperature and conditions allow coral to thrive. Coral is a hardened tube or branch. Only about 10% of coral is considered jewelry quality. Coral comes in shades from blood-red to orange to pink to white.
