Zuni round inlay thunder bird bolo tie

Zuni handcrafted Bolo Tie. It features genuine turquoise,coral, abolone shell and tortoise shell  mounted in a round shape & design. They are mounted in a hand cut overlay thunder bird pattern.The unique details of the bolo tie  add to the traditional look and feel that is reflective of its 1970's era. It has a wonderful feel and weight to it.  

Measurements: Bolo tie inlay : 2-1/4" across  - Cones: 2" in length  - Black cord is 34" long ( this measurement is for the leather cord only) 

Design: The Thunderbird is a mythical creature of huge importance to the Native Americans of both the United States and Canada. An enormous bird, he symbolized great power, strength, and protection for humans against evil spirits. Able to transform into human form by removing his head like a mask and his feathers like a cape, he was considered the most powerful of all Spirits in Native American culture.
