Handcrafted by Navajo artist Albert Jake. This bracelet features a rectangular stone pattern of graduated sizes of large to small starting in the center and moving outward. The artist has added traditional stamping at the ends of the bracelet. The simple design has its focus on the Kingman turquoise stones. It is unusual to see a bracelet this size with the rectangular stones ! It has a medium weight and is comfortable.

Stone: Kingman Turquoise originates in the Mineral Park Mining District near Kingman, Arizona. One of the largest domestic turquoise mines, it is found in a large open pit copper mine in the high desert country. The Kingman Mine district was first mined by Native Americans; it was part of the most extensive prehistoric workings in Arizona.
Artist: Albert Jake: was born in 1959 in the Zuni Pueblo south of Gallup, New Mexico. He learned silversmithing from his parents. He specializes in traditional set stones and cluster jewelry with intricate stamp work. He has been smithing since 1987. He also creates sand-paintings and makes pottery. During the summers he works as a forest fire fighter. He lives with his wife and two daughters today in Rahmah, New Mexico, near the Zuni Pueblo.
