Handcrafted by Navajo artist Happy Piasso from the Albuquerque, New Mexico. Measuring 1/2" in width and featuring a small ovaL Kingman tutrquoise stone along with detailed stamping. Heavy gauge sterling silver is used giving the bracelet a solid feel. It has an inside measurement of 5-3/4" with a 1-1/4" opening. Easily fit to most wrists.
Stone: Kingman Turquoise originates in the Mineral Park Mining District near Kingman, Arizona. One of the largest domestic turquoise mines, it is found in a large open pit copper mine in the high desert country. The Kingman Mine district was first mined by Native Americans; it was part of the most extensive prehistoric workings in Arizona.
Artist:Happy Piaso, Navajo, is 49 and is married to Rudie Willie. She was born and raised in Alamo, New Mexico and has 2 children, one of which is in the military. Happy was taught the craft of silversmithing by her husband, Rudie.
