Her mother, Patricia Fuentes, is from the Santa Clara Pueblo, which deeply influences Naomi’s work. In 1984, Naomi moved to Santa Clara, where she began her pottery journey, learning traditional techniques from her brother, Lorenzo Fuentes.
Naomi's approach to pottery is both collaborative and unique. She designs and polishes the pots, while her husband, Victor, carves and fires them. This partnership allows them to create pieces that are both beautiful and technically proficient. Their work has gained recognition, winning two First Place awards at the Picuris show.
