Beautiful bolo tie handcrafted renown Navjao artist Delbert Gordon. The Bolo features a Naja shape bolo with outstanding #8 turquoise all mounted in sterling silver. The mounting has reprousse´ stamping that radiates throughout the mounting, giving it a striking appearance. The bolo also features uniquely stamped cylinder tips . The leather cord can be adjusted though a double loop to fit accordingly. This is a magnificent piece.

Artist: Delbert Gordon from Houck, Arizona, became a silver smith while working for a trader in Gallup. Over the years, he has created some of the most beautiful traditional Navajo jewelry in existence. He has been a great mentor to many younger smiths, including his nephew, Derrick Gordon.

Located in the Lynn mining district in northern Eureka County, north of Carlin, Nevada, the Number 8 mine is on the west side of the Tuscarora Range, and was at one time a gold and copper mining operation. It was in a large mining district encompassing ten 20-acre claims and was active from the 1930’s through the early 1950’s.
