Handcrafted ring by Navajo artist Bernyse Chavez. Made of solid sterling silver, the ring features a large oval turquoise stone (1-1/4 x 5/8") from the Golden Hills mine. This artist is known for her use of beautiful stones and unique designs. The mounting mesures approximately 1-3/8" x 1" .The mounting has a cold chisel straight line stamping pattern and sets on a smooth silver shank. This statement looks good on any finger and is a true one of a kind !
Stone: In the Russian hills of Kazakhstan sits the GOLDEN HILLS mine. The Turquoise is only mined in the winter months during the freezing cold and snow as rains flood the mine during the summer. The location of the mine is remote and difficult to bring equipment in and out of. It is the only Turquoise known to have the unique coloring of bright blue with a Lavender undertone.
