Golden Hills turquoise tear drop shaped pendant

Handcrafted pendant by Navajo artist Shirley Henry. The pendant features a small tear drop shaped turquoise stone from the Golden Hills mine, mounted in sterling silver detailed carvings. Mounting mesures 3/4" x 3/4" with a bail that will accommodate up to a 5mm chain or bead necklace. If you like simple pendants that are all about the stone,  then this may be the pendant for you !

Stone: In the Russian hills of Kazakhstan sits the GOLDEN HILLS mine. The Turquoise is only mined in the winter months during the freezing cold and snow as rains flood the mine during the summer. The location of the mine is remote and difficult to bring equipment in and out of. It is the only Turquoise known to have the unique coloring of bright blue with a Lavender undertone.
