Beautiful bolo tie handcrafted renown Navjao artist Delbert Gordon. The Bolo features a outstanding piece of Roysotn turquoise that measures 1-7/8" x 1-3/4" and is mounted in sterling silver. The mounting has reprouss´ stamping that radiates throughout the mounting, giving it a striking appearance. It measures 2-1/2" x 3". The bolo also features uniquely stamped cylinder tips that measure 2" in length. The leather cord is 50" in length and can be adjusted though a double loop to fit accordingly. This is a magnificent piece.
Artist: Delbert Gordon from Houck, Arizona, became a silver smith while working for a trader in Gallup. Over the years, he has created some of the most beautiful traditional Navajo jewelry in existence. He has been a great mentor to many younger smiths, including his nephew, Derrick Gordon.
Stone: Royston Turquoise: A district in Nevada consisting of three turquoise mines: Bunker Hill, Oscar Wehrend, and the main producer, The Royal Blue. Royston is known for its beautiful colors ranging from deep green to rich, light blues which are set off by a heavy brown matrix. The Royston mine is producing a little high-grade turquoise today, operated by the Ottison family.
