ARTIST :TSOSIE ORVILLE WHITE Tsosie Orville White (TO White)-Orville White, known for his precise stamp work, is from Arizona. He began making jewelry in the late 1980's after being inspired by his wife's family. Before becoming a renowned silversmith, Orville was a carpenter and an auto mechanic. He is known to sign his work as both with and without the use of his first name. GOLDEN HILLS TURQUOISE: In the Russian hills of Kazakhstan sits the GOLDEN HILLS mine. The Turquoise is only mined in the winter months during the freezing cold and snow as rains flood the mine during the summer. The location of the mine is remote and difficult to bring equipment in and out of. It is the only Turquoise known to have the unique coloring of bright blue with a Lavender undertone.
