NAVAJO HANDCRAFTED SHADOW BOX DESIGN BOLO TIE
One of more unique offerings. This bolo tie was part of a sample collection of a Trader on the reservation during the late 1960's into the early 1970's. When trading with the Native American tribes in the southwest it wasn't uncommon for artists to make a sample of their work in order to create a design for the trader that the artist could duplicate. Notice the words "sample" written on the back of the bolo tie along with the Traders alpha buyers code (each letter written has a corresponding number) which helped the Trader remember how much he paid the artist. The bolo tie measures 1"1/2 x 1" x 2". Genuine stones and corals are set in solid sterling silver.
