This is the largest inlay ring we offer! Set in solid sterling. Handcrafted by a Navajo artist. The intricate rug pattern design is made up of all hand cut stones. Dark blue lapis, black jet, brown jasper and iridescent blue cultured opals. The inlay area measure 1" x 5/8". Heavy silver is used through out the ring, as a result of this the ring sets high on the finger. A true statement ring.
STONES: Multiple pieces of stone make up the mosaic image.The black you see in the design is called "JET "and is a fossilized wood, which has been compressed over millions of years.The brown is made up of tiger eye & picture jasper. The blue stones in the corners is lapis, the blue iridescent rectangular shapes are made from Cultured Opal.
STORY: The Design in both rings is directly reflective of a Navajo Rug pattern called a "Storm Pattern". The middle apposing triangles are the "eye" of the storm, and the black steps represent storm clouds. Designs and or patterns showing storm clouds, whirl winds and or rain are common with the Navajo People as water is such a vital part of there life
