Oval with side inlay turquoise ring

A unique take on a curved turquoise inlay ring designed by Navajo artist Calvin Begay. It features 8 individual hand cut turquoise stones all set in sterling silver. Genuine Kingman blue turquosie is used in the setting. The deisgn features a single oval pattern on the top with a single side turquoise inlay element. The mounting is sturdy with heavy guage silver. Stone: Kingman Turquoise originates in the Mineral Park Mining District near Kingman, Arizona. One of the largest domestic turquoise mines, it is found in a large open pit copper mine in the high desert country. The Kingman Mine district was first mined by Native Americans; it was part of the most extensive prehistoric workings in Arizona.
