Navjao handcrafted Navajo bracelet from the 1970's. Made of solid sterling silver with genuine Bisbee Turquoise. The bracelelt features a unique design where the artist uses a single sheet of silver and then cut small strips and pull them apart to form a wider area to mount the stone. It measures 1" at its widest point and tapers to 1/2". The inside measurement is 5-1/4" with a 1-1/8" opening allowing it to fit 6" ( with some adjustment ) and larger. This is a outstanding piece,

“Bisbee Blue” is a name that originates from the Bisbee Mine, near Bisbee, Arizona, in Cochise County, USA. The term refers to the turquoise that comes from copper mines in this region. Turquoise from Bisbee has a reputation as a hard, finely webbed stone with high blue color, ranging from sky blue to a dark lavender blue. The matrix patterns vary a great deal but can be characterized by the deep chocolate brown to black webbing. The hardness is 4.5 on the mohs scale.
