Navajo handcrafted saucer beads. Each beads is made of two pieces of sterling silver soldered together to form a saucer bead. The necklace has a medium wieght with the silver having a dark patina. Easily worn by itself or with your favorite pendant.

The practice of pawning jewelry began in the early 1900s when Native Americans and traders would exchange jewelry for food and other necessities, it is still used today and is embeded in the Navajo culture.
