Vintage 1970’s Navajo watchband. Set in solid 14kt yellow gold with genuine all natural Lone Mountain Turquoise . The watch band is a large size with the a length 1″1/2 x 1″ width and a 3/4″ taper. Exquisite details throughout. It comes with a traditional spidel band that were common for the time. This is a rare piece that can be mounted to almost any watch.

Vintage 1970’s Navajo watchband. Set in solid 14kt yellow gold with genuine all natural Lone Mountain Turquoise. The watch band is a large size with the a length 1″1/2 x 1″ width and a 3/4″ taper. Exquisite details throughout. It comes with a traditional spidel band that were common for the time. This is a rare piece that can be mounted to almost any watch. NAVAJO HANDCRAFTED WATCH TIPS 14 Karat specifically refers to the metal mix that is 58.3% gold, compared with 18 Karat that is 75% gold. 14K gold is used for engagement rings, eternity bands, pendants, earrings and other fine jewelry pieces. LONE MOUNTAIN – TURQUOISE The Lone Mountain turquoise mine near Tonopah, Nevada has been one of the larger producers of fine turquoise in Nevada. It was discovered by Lee Hand in 1920.. The turquoise is graded into golden matrix, black matrix and spider web. In the past most of it was cut and polished or the nuggets drilled and polished at the mine and very little rough was sold. No material is currently being mined. It is considered a very collectible turquoise, probably second only to the Lander
