Outstanding example of Kingman ” water web” turquoise. This stone is called this because it looks as if you are looking at water. The large pendant is set in solid sterling silver and is crafted by Navajo artist Happy Piasso. It setting measures 4″ x  2″1/2 with the stone measuring 2″1/8  x  7/8″ . The silver Navajo pearls measure 16″ in length with a 4″extension and have turquoise spaced throughout. The matching earrings are a dangle loop design.

Kingman Turquoise originates in the Mineral Park Mining District near Kingman, Arizona. One of the largest domestic turquoise mines, it is found in a large open pit copper mine in the high desert country. The Kingman Mine district was first mined by Native Americans; it was part of the most extensive prehistoric workings in Arizona.

Besides the nugget form, the most desirable Kingman turquoise is a deep blue with molybdenum pyrite; also, deep blue with pyrite as well as in a “bird’s eye” pattern with “water web” matrix.
