Vintage Coral necklace from the 1950’s. Measuring 27″ in length. The 3-strands of branch coral are sanded and polished but still have a raw feel to them. Sterling silver tubing is spaced through out the necklace and adds to the design. A fabric wrap is used to tie off the ends of the necklace. Light weight and comfortable.

Light weight and comfortable. 1950’s BRANCH CORAL NECKLACE Red coral comes from certain areas, such as the Mediterranean, where the specific water temperature and conditions allow coral to thrive. Coral is a hardened tube or branch. Only about 10% of coral is considered jewelry quality. Coral comes in shades from blood-red to orange to pink to white. Native American artists have only used coral for the last 600 years.
