Lovely vintage ring from our PAWN collection features 3 oval-shaped pieces of coral set on a vertical on a sterling silver triple split ring shank. Piece has a high shine with the recessed areas of the design showing more of a vintage patina. Mounting measures 2" x 5/8". Center coral piece measures 5/8" 3/8". The piece comes attached to its original pawn ticket. The term "pawn" refers to jewelry that has been pawned to brokers. The practice of pawning jewelry began in the early 1900's when Native Americans and traders would exchange jewelry for food and other necessities. It is still used today and is embedded in the Navajo culture.
